At Little Ducklings Day Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This curriculum continues until your child has completed their reception year at primary school.

There are seven areas of learning and development:

 Three prime areas

* Personal, Social and Emotional Development

* Communication and  Language

* Physical Development.

And four Specific areas which are strengthened through the prime areas.

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Knowlegde and understanding of  the world
  • Expressive arts and design

Whilst at nursery your child’s key person will plan activities around your child’s individual interests. They will support your  child’s learning and development through all seven  areas and record their progress in their own personal Learning Journey.
