Mallard Room
The Mallard Room is for children aged from 2-years until they leave for school. We have 5 practitioners, based in the Mallard Room, that work closely with the children aged 2-years they are Laura Masson, Olivia, Amelia, Leah and Sarah Makinson.
The Mallard Room is set up in areas of continuous provision enabling the children to revisit their favourite activities time and time again. It also has continuous, free-flow access to the large nursery garden.
The practitioners within the room work closely together to plan and implement fun and stimulating activities based on the children’s interests and level of development.
Music and movement, song time, story time and activities to promote early phonics skills are carried out daily. The Mallard Room also provides lots of sensory experiences for the children to explore and experiment with.
Mealtimes are a social event where the children and practitioners sit down together to talk about their day. Independence is promoted throughout the Mallard Room and children are encouraged to put on their own shoes and coats, set the tables and serve themselves at mealtimes.
The practitioners will work closely with yourselves, as parents, to help with all aspects of child development, providing advice and support where needed.
