Little Ducklings  Fees are as follows from the 1st April 2025

Ducklings Room (3 months – 2 years)  £66.00 per day

Mallard Room (2 years – 5 years)      £64.00 per day

We also offer the option for half day sessions in the Mallard Room only.

The morning session runs from 7.45am-1.00pm and the afternoon session runs from 1.15pm-6.00pm. Fees are: £36.00 per session

Little Ducklings accepts the majority of childcare vouchers including Computershare, Fideliti and Edenred and the Tax Free Childcare Scheme

There is a £50.00 deposit required upon booking your child into Little Ducklings Day Nursery.  This will be deducted from your first months invoice.  If you decide to cancel your child’s place prior to their start date this deposit is non-refundable .We charge all year round apart from christmas week which is free of charge.

All fees include nappies, wipes and all freshly prepared meals and healthy snacks.

Little Ducklings Day Nursery is an eligible provider of the Early Education Funding (EEF) for children aged from 9 months (from September 2024).

The term after your child turns 3, they are automatically entitled to 15 free hours of childcare per week (Universal Funding).

If certain criteria are met, they may also be entitled to an additional 15 hours per week (Extended Funding)

For younger children, aged from 9 months, if certain criteria are met, they may be entitled to 15 free hours of childcare per week.

FROM SEPTEMBER 2025 ALL CHILDREN AGED FROM 9 MONTHS MAY BE ENTITLED TO 30 HOURS OF FUNDED CHILDCARE PER WEEK.

If your child is eligible for the free entitlement, you will be provided with a code. This code MUST be valid before the 1st date of the new term. You must also ensure you reconfirm your code every 3 months for it to remain valid.

A parental agreement form MUST be completed before any funding can be claimed for.

The funded childcare is TERM TIME ONLY (15 or 30 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year)

The year is split into three terms as follows.

 1st Jan- 31st March Spring 11 weeks

 1st April- 31st August Summer 13 weeks

 1st September-31st December Autumn 14 weeks

If your child attends 2 days a week, they will claim 15 hours a week for the term and full fees will need to be paid during the term breaks.

If your child attends 1 day a week, we can stretch their entitlement over the whole year (10 hours per week over 51 weeks)

If your child attends more than 1 day a week and is claiming the 30 hours of funding, we can also stretch this entitlement over the year. (The hours used per week will depend on how many days your child is with us)

Example:

Child attends 2 days – 20 hours per week over 51 weeks

Child attends 3 days (or more) – 22.35 hours per week over 51 weeks

(3 days = 2 full days free and third day 2.35 hours free and remaining hours charged for)

PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN ONLY CLAIM A MAXIMUM OF 10 HOURS PER DAY

The funding covers the cost of childcare from 8am-6pm (7.45am-8.00am is provided free of charge)

The funding only covers the cost of childcare. Meals and snacks are charged at an additional rate.

Full Day (Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snack, Tea, Snack)          £10.00

Half Day AM (Breakfast, Lunch)                                                          £7.00

Half Day PM (Afternoon Snack, Tea, Snack)                                    £4.00

If you do not wish to pay for the meals, you are welcome to provide your own meals and snacks for your children to have during the day.
